A very special little man...

It was a true honor for me to be able to go and photograph this little guy.  If you remember from this post, Caffrey was born with a 'special heart' that has needed a little extra attention since he's been born.  He spent several weeks in the hospital after having open heart surgery, and will have some more surgeries in his future.  But the day I got to meet him, he was the sweetest, happiest little guy.  And for him to just keep sleeping after putting him in a box at 3 months old, tells you what an angel he is :)  Thanks for allowing us to come and capture Mr. Caffrey...it was truly our pleasure!  We will keep him in our prayers as he continues to grow!

Well hello there....

Thought it was about time for a long overdue blog post.  We've been so crazy busy with photoshoots, editing and other crazy busy life changes, that our blogging has fallen by the wayside.  Sorry to those of you out there dying for sneak peeks of your photos and to gaze at other's beautiful children.  Allow me to introduce "M".  What a cutie.  We photographed her on what was probably one of the hottest, most humid days of the year so far...she did amazing. And speaking of amazing...look at those blues!!

This is the 3rd time we've been lucky enough to photograph this great couple.  They are expecting their first child in the next few weeks!  So excited to meet this little one...and I know they are too.  Especially mommy, who's ready for this little breech one to be born!

Oh....I've decided that all maternity sessions should probably be done at sunset.  How gorgeous!!!

the exploring, adorable 1-year old...

It's been about 6 months since we did miss "g's" pictures, and oh how she has changed!  We lucky enough to get to see her every week at church, but taking her pictures again made us realize just how she has changed in such a short amount of time! She went from a toothless grin to a full toothy smile, from scooting to running, and from adorable to even more adorable :)  The joy of 1-year olds is their curiosity of everything around them because they are experiencing so many things for the first time.  And it is our job just to keep up with them!  Miss "g" did not disappoint!  Thanks for letting us chase you and capture your joy!

Sweet Kenley Joy

This little lady is one of my dear friends’ daughter.  You have seen her before in these family pics, and the reason for this blog post is 2-fold…one, we did her 1-year pictures (she’ll be 1 next week!) and every client of ours gets a little sneak peek, so this is hers!  Two, this sweetie has been through quite a journey in her first year of life and that journey isn’t over quite yet.  On May 23rd, Kenley will have surgery to remove her tumor.  As that date is less than a month away I’d ask that you look at her sweet face and pray for her…pray for her strength…pray for the doctors that have cared and will care for her…pray for her mommy and daddy...pray for her big brother.  I feel blessed because I have gotten to see Kenley grow and develop over this past year, and to see where she is now…truly is inspiring!  Being able to capture these images for them is something I will remember forever.  You are loved, Kenley Joy…by so many!

And we couldn't get by without getting some of big brother "e" in the pictures.  He loves his sister so much...
 What a stud :)
so sweet...

Finishing up...

This little lady is quite a milestone marker for us.  She has been photographed from womb (our 1st maternity shoot) to 1st Birthday.  I had the pleasure of photographing this cutie-pie on her actual birthday...and we celebrated!  Sonja was busy with another family this afternoon, but she gets the pleasure of photographing L again next week, along with the rest of her family. L was perfect for her session, didn't quite know what to make of her cake at first but she eventually dug in, like they all do :)
Hope you love these A...I think she's just precious!

Cute-"E"

Remember this little one?  So much changes in 6 months, and this little sweetie is just so adorable.  Those cheeks are so squeezable and that smile just puts a smile on your face.  We have loved watching you grow miss "E"!  Can't wait to see what the next 6 months bring!

And of course we can't leave out big sister "G" and mom and dad too :)
Thanks for letting us capture these moments for you!

The "M" kids

It was so great to see a friend of mine from college and capture these moments with her adorable kids. Sweet "M" is a mini of her mommy, and just as sweet as can be. "H" was all boy and couldn't wait to dig into the rocks and go look at the ducks instead of smiling for us! But we did manage to get some :) And after "M" warmed up a little and I showed her one picture of herself on my camera...she was all smiles and silly faces! Ah...the power of a digital camera! :)It was great to see you, "E". Thanks for letting us capture these moments for you!

Little Man "L"

We LOVE having repeat clients, and this little one has turned into such a little man! We love to see how big they've gotten, the new expressions they are making, the new skills they've learned...it's so fun for us as the photographers! "L" made our job easy this day...look at that adorable smile! It was nice to see you again, buddy! Enjoy your photos :)

1-year old = BUSY :)

Remember this lovely family? Well it was time to get some updated pics of little Miss "I" as she has a big birthday coming up! We can't believe she'll be one in just a few days! We have loved watching her grow up and these pictures show her sweet and spunky personality! She is one busy little thing, but that just made it all the more fun to get these shots! :) We so enjoy being able to capture these moments...thanks again mama "T" for letting us capture your girls.

And her big sister recently turned 5, so we got a few shots of her too...she confirms our love for 5-year old girls and how well they do for the camera :) She's such a doll!
