Sharing the spotlight.

We've been bad about blogging our sessions lately, not for lack of work...for the lack of a break from shooting.  That's the part that we really love and it is wonderful to be out there capturing some great families. This week is going to be boot-camp for our cameras!

First up...the "T,D,F" family.  Father's day weekend we had a great shoot with this "X chromosome" heavy family (there is another little lady on her way in few months to add to this sweet bunch of girls). 

 This photo of the 3 girls together was of their own doing :)  They lined up the chairs (with a little help from the dad's) for themselves and created their own photo.  Scroll down to see behind the scenes of this set up...I think it's comical :)

Next up....the "V" family and cute little 1 year old "S".  He was full of smiles for his session and boy was he a fast crawler.  Watch out once this one gets the hang of walking!  This is on of our favorite  locations and they even added some fun paper lanterns in the alley way.  Kind of felt like we were in another part of the world. 

 Seriously sweet!  Happy birthday little man :)

Isn't she lovely...

This sweet little gal made her appearance into the world a few weeks early, which was probably just fine as far as her mom was concerned :)  "J" did wonderful for her session and we had so much fun with her.  Love those squishy little lips and cheeks :)  Isn't she lovely!?

Thanks "K & M" for allowing us to capture your daughter's first photos!   It was a pleasure.

Miss "A" is 1!

Got to spend the morning with this cutie again...remember her from before?  My how much kids change in 6 months!  Hair gets longer, teeth get bigger (or appear for the first time!), and they become uber mobile :)  But, oh how fun it is to see them change!  Little miss "A" was all smiles for her 1-year portraits...and even when there wasn't a smile, those gorgeous big blue eyes could just melt you as well!  Thanks for the fun session "A"!  Hope to see you again!

Sweet little lady

We had the pleasure of seeing this little lady again.  Haven't seen her since she was a few days old.  Always amazes me how much they change in such a relatively short amount of time.  Just think how smart we'd all be if we could each learn as much as she has in 6 months!!  

Can't wait to see what you learn in the next 6 months....

"A"nother Christmas Blessing

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season with your families.  We enjoyed a little break to celebrate with ours as well.  We are back in the swing of things, preparing for our next year and back to photographing more adorable Christmas babies.  Meet little "A".  Sweet in every way and a beauty for her session this afternoon! 

 As we think over the past year, we are so thankful for all the families we had the chance to work with.  We honestly never dreamed that we would have had the chance to work with so many wonderful people.  Thank you for all your encouragement, kind words, referrals and business in 2010.  It is with anticipation that we look forward to 2011 and working with many of you again and meeting more great people!

Awe. Awww. Aahhhh...

All the feelings that come along with a new baby.  There is nothing like that awe-struck wonder in a new parent's gaze.  And awww...isn't "A" the cutest little man you've ever seen?  And aahhh....sweet relief that he's finally here!  His parents wish to introduce to you "A", your next Presidental hopeful.  At least they think he should be :)  I had to go natural with the editing of these ones.  There is just something about a black and white photo that gets me.  No colors to distract your eye, just raw emotions coming through.  I hope I was able to capture the literal glow on A & E's faces when they were holding their new little one.  Parenthood suits them well! Congrats on your new blessing, he's perfect! ~Jen

Finishing up...

This little lady is quite a milestone marker for us.  She has been photographed from womb (our 1st maternity shoot) to 1st Birthday.  I had the pleasure of photographing this cutie-pie on her actual birthday...and we celebrated!  Sonja was busy with another family this afternoon, but she gets the pleasure of photographing L again next week, along with the rest of her family. L was perfect for her session, didn't quite know what to make of her cake at first but she eventually dug in, like they all do :)

Simply darling

Lots of amazingly cute little ones lately if I do say so myself. Little "L" has a spirit of adventure as well as independence. It's not usual for a baby to be perfectly content in a sea of tall grasses, but she just dug right in and picked up some good finds. Thanks for letting me capture her at this fun stage of her first year! ~Jen

Sweet Siblings

We had the pleasure of photographing this family again for little "M"s photos. His big sister loves being photographed, so of course we had to get her too! At one point, "M" was crying and not in the mood to be photographed. "A" chimed in and said, "Well you can just take more of me!" Too cute! "M" is quite the cute and advanced 7 month old...crawling and moving all over already. Enjoy your sneak peak!
