Overdue...

 Long overdue....a posting by us.  We enjoyed some time "off" with our families over the holidays, which seems like and eternity ago now that we are basking in 50 degree weather.  Can you believe they are predicting 70s this week?!?!   We have been busy shooting away, despite what you may think based on our lack of social media love. Here's a quick peek at a few sessions from the past few weeks that I particularly enjoyed.  Met this little man when he was just a few weeks old and now again to show off his sitting skills.  Oh...and he showed off his flirting skills too.  "M" had several passer-bys stop and stare a while :)
Another great maternity session with "J&L".  I was so thankful that they love black and white photos b/c I thought their session deserved a little B&W love!  And last but not least, little "T".  We started photographing her parents for their engagement session and now we are doing 6 month old baby photos.  It's been a privilege to be part of your story!

Waiting for their gift...

I absolutely loved this session!  It was a great setting for a maternity session and the weather was perfect that  afternoon to get some outdoor shots as well, complete with leaves still on the trees.  This is a wonderful couple expecting their first little one, right around Christmas.  They were a pleasure to photograph.  Dad came with his "game face" on and I think I really won him over once I gave him full license to sneak in a kiss whenever he wanted :)  Their interaction together and excitement was so fun and easy to capture. I can't wait to meet this baby now!

Catching up...

I'm doing a little catching up this afternoon for as long as nap time will allow. This session was from a few weeks back but hey...we LOVE to share all of our beautiful clients with you, so thought it would be worth a quick posting.  This little man could arrive any day and he's got a lot of love coming his way.  He will be the 4th boy, grandchild to "J"s parents!  What rowdy Christmas gatherings they will have!!

Congrats J&J and good luck in these next few weeks and with your delivery!

A "hot" maternity session

Had a great maternity session with this beautiful couple and "hot" (in 2 ways) mommy.  We picked one of the hottest and most humid nights possible for our evening session.  But, by the initial sweep through the images I think it was well worth it!!    It's so fun to see a couple so in love and so joyfully expectant for their first little son!  He's going to enter into a house full of love. Thanks for a great session you two.

Well hello there....

Thought it was about time for a long overdue blog post.  We've been so crazy busy with photoshoots, editing and other crazy busy life changes, that our blogging has fallen by the wayside.  Sorry to those of you out there dying for sneak peeks of your photos and to gaze at other's beautiful children.  Allow me to introduce "M".  What a cutie.  We photographed her on what was probably one of the hottest, most humid days of the year so far...she did amazing. And speaking of amazing...look at those blues!!

This is the 3rd time we've been lucky enough to photograph this great couple.  They are expecting their first child in the next few weeks!  So excited to meet this little one...and I know they are too.  Especially mommy, who's ready for this little breech one to be born!

Oh....I've decided that all maternity sessions should probably be done at sunset.  How gorgeous!!!

Call off the search parties!

Call off the search parties! We've been found again. Around the holidays we've made a commitment to take a break from "work" and spend as much time with our families as possible. We've also been doing a little dreaming and planning about what we want J|S Photography to look like in this next year. Now if we can just find the time to do all that we'd like...let's just say a 4, 2-3 year olds, a 1 year old and an ALMOST 1 year old keep us a little busy! Check back for a few photos of our little munchkins...we took a little "adventure" this morning with them. But now we are back to shooting and are continuing the winter (and it definitely was winterish today) season with a beautiful couple awaiting their first little one. Some of you MN folk, may have issue with a few of the photos below...but I had to include them for you "J" :)

 

Can't wait to meet her "R "and "J"!!  Enjoy these last months of this stage of your parenting journey and we'll see you sooner than you will believe.

Glowing...

There is nothing quite like an expectant first-time mom...the natural glow they have just shines through every expression they have. "L" is our beautiful mom-to-be and her glow was wonderful to capture. Thanks "K&L" for letting us be a part of this exciting time in your lives. We can't wait to meet your little sweetie! Congratulations!
